Dasht-e-Lut desert the HOTTEST place on earth

ISRU - COVID Protocol

  • Single tent accomodations will be sanitized before the race, will remain personally assigned to the same participant during the entire race, and will be placed a minimum of 5 meters from another.

  • Rapid COVID test upon first camp entry and on the third day.

  • All staff members tested on the first and third days.

  • Distribution of hygienic items (gel,gloves, and surgical masks) by the organization.

  • Water supplied in case of 6 bottles of 1,5 liters each for the camp will be externally sanitized before distribution.

  • Direct transfer from Kerman Airport to base camp at Shaffihabad (eco camp) in single-occupancy taxis or max 2 people.

  • Minimum number of staff members (1 volunteer + 1 driver for each checkpoint and 2 max at the camp)

  • All measures aimed at keeping the camp/athletes at maximum isolation will be further established from time to time.

  • Iran does not require any form of quarantine upon arrival but does require a COVID test before departure for Iran.
